Summary:
In this role, you will collaborate with Service Line Directors to drive sourcing initiatives, achieve savings targets for provider accounts, and provide sourcing and contracting support for timely project completion. You will offer guidance in sourcing products and professional services, facilitate strategy creation, engage with stakeholders, and lead contract negotiations to optimize savings and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Support contract administration and negotiation to meet revenue goals, business and legal requirements, pricing, and value adds, fostering consensus between providers, suppliers, and Vizient.
Conduct research on products/categories and develop a comprehensive understanding of portfolio initiatives within the assigned work scope.
Evaluate and analyze provider spend data to prioritize the implementation of contracts based on savings, quality, and technology opportunities.
Coordinate sourcing efforts for assigned projects, including RFI/RFP development, data analysis, and engagement of provider teams.
Identify cost reduction opportunities through contract portfolio evaluation and custom contracting in collaboration with Service Line Directors and provider representatives.
Assist in cross-collaboration with other portfolios by identifying differences in provider and supplier experiences.
Support the facilitation of client committees by participating in agenda development and follow-up on action items.
Identify and report on broader variables (e.g., legal, market conditions, manufacturing, political) to provide comprehensive insights.
Foster relationships with teams, providers, and suppliers by effectively communicating, negotiating, and resolving issues.
Qualifications: Relevant degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field preferred. Advanced degree preferred.
5 or more years' experience in healthcare contracting and sourcing operations required.
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point) required.
Knowledge of non-medical categories used in a health care environment preferred.
Strategic sourcing, supply chain, purchasing or materials management experience a plus.
PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification desired.
Collaborative team player who exhibits personal accountability and can independently manage projects from conception to completion.
Ability to use data and analytics to identify areas of opportunity and support projects.
Detail-oriented with strong written, interpersonal, presentation, communication, and group facilitation skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and results-oriented environment.
Willingness to travel.

The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $127,600.00.
