SUMMARY:
This person will be employed on a one (1) year supplemental contract, which expires at the end of the school year, to serve as Head Boys Golf Coach. Responsible for assisting in supervising student activities and following all district/building policies associated with this activity. Reports to the Athletic Director. DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
Responsible for and assist in all practice sessions and scheduled games. Work in cooperation with other staff members and the Athletic Director. Distribute, collect, and inventory all equipment/uniforms. Keep all necessary records and forms. Provide leadership and direction to students involved in this activity. Promote school and student pride by requiring players to behave in an appropriate and respectful manner when dealing with officials, players, coaches, spectators, or any other school personnel. Maintain locker room facilities in a clean and presentable manner. Responsible for checking the locker room after each practice/meet and reporting any concerns. Promote sportsmanship and goodwill at all times. Perform other functions as necessary to implement goals and objectives of the athletic programs. Coaching activities on school grounds are limited to this supplemental unless another supplemental contract is secured. (This includes camps and other individual programs that could directly benefit the coach.) Support the team’s fundraising efforts by organizing volunteer staffing of the concession stands and lead by example by co-participating in concession operations while the team’s volunteers are working. At least one coach shall be present for the entire shift each time the team’s volunteers are working. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid teaching certificate preferred. Prior experience and/or knowledge of the game preferred. Ability to work with those involved in setting up the program. Ability to work with young athletes and provide a positive influence on their lives. Maintain current Pupil Activity Permit validation, CPR training certificate, and other certificates as required by Board Policy and the Ohio Department of Education. Must pass criminal background check. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Effective Date: 2024-2025 school year. Length of Employment: One-year supplemental contract. Salary: According to the negotiated agreement.
