Job Description The Equities Data & Analytics Team is looking for an experienced Kdb/Q developer in New York. Proven experience managing large financial databases and datasets consisting of real-time and historical data and excellent communication skills are required, as you'll be in a fast-paced environment working hands-on closely with other developers, QA and production support teams. The successful candidate will be expected to create innovative analytics solutions that advance the business; and will be improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. Principal Responsibilities Mange and manipulate large historical data sets Implement reusable Gateway functionality Implement functionality based on defined API Use and implement library-grade software Automating quality checks across transactional, market and reference datasets Ensure clean and efficient coding practices and adherence to industry best practices Collaborate with traders, quants, and other developers to design and implement efficient and robust solutions Writing documentation Technical Qualifications 5 years working with large financial data sets, such as market data, order/execution data, and/or positions data. 5 years of Kdb/Q, experience working in a Unix/Linux environment. Superb communication and interpersonal skills/ Confident in communicating with stakeholders Ability to learn new technologies and business knowledge Other language experience is a bonus i.e Python, Java, Unix/Linux Experience of agile methodologies will be an advantage Highly Valued Capital markets experience, e.g. Derivs, Stocks, index, ETFs trading. Proven delivery track record, Cloud experience (e.g. AWS) is preferred. Good team player with a strong desire to participate and help others Able to bring critical thinking and new ideas to the team Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work. Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $150,000-200,000. The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
