About the Role BTI360 is a data discovery company, using AI/ML to transform proprietary data into actionable insights that directly support our customer's mission. We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with the expertise, creativity, and leadership to drive innovative solutions that apply advanced AI techniques to solve complex problems. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact by leveraging cutting-edge technology, data, and a deep understanding of mission-driven challenges. In this role, you will: Lead the design and development of AI/ML solutions to extract insights from complex unstructured and semi-structured data sets. Prototype and evaluate AI-driven capabilities to assess technical feasibility for deployment in production environments. Apply data correlation techniques to analyze streams of data discussing similar topics, identifying contradictions, and developing systems that make sense of the reality behind conflicting information. Work on automating reporting workflows that provide mission stakeholders with greater awareness of underlying data holdings and turn them into actionable mission capabilities. Observe and analyze customer behaviors and workflows to understand their mission objectives, identifying opportunities where AI/ML can improve efficiency, quality, or mission outcomes. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, engineers, and mission experts to align technology solutions with customer objectives. You might thrive in this role if you: Meet U.S. Citizenship requirement along with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Possess 7 years of professional experience building, deploying, and maintaining ML models; or 5 years with an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. Have proven experience in leading AI/ML initiatives, including designing AI-driven capabilities that scale to production environments. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date on AI/ML advancements through research, whitepapers, courses, and experimentation. Have proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent. Have familiarity with natural language processing (NLP), deep learning techniques, and large language models (LLMs). Have experience with AI/ML techniques like prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and mitigating hallucination in models. Have ability to rapidly prototype and evaluate solutions to meet customer needs in different contexts and domains. You will excel in this role if you have also these skills: Possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure). Familiarity with MLOps, including the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of ML models in production. Experience with writing technical solution proposals for government or enterprise customers. Experience with technical speaking engagements and communicating complex AI/ML concepts through white papers, presentations, and conferences. Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant field (e.g., Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science). Experience working in an Agile environment. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, CodePipeline), and version control (Git).
