Axiom Connected is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team at our headquarters office in St. Louis, Missouri. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the deployment workflow of a PHP-based RESTful API and several React front-end single-page applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). The DevOps Engineer will also be tasked with recommending and implementing improved workflows and managing the execution of database migrations. Job Responsibilities Manage and maintain the deployment pipeline for PHP-based RESTful APIs and React single-page applications Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps or other approved CI/CD pipeline tools Implement and manage container orchestration using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, reliability, and security Manage execution of database migrations and ensure seamless integration with deployment processes Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth and efficient release cycles Understand the codebases sufficiently to configure and deploy applications correctly Recommend and implement improvements to deployment workflows and DevOps practices Ensure high availability and scalability of applications Design, implement, and test disaster recovery plans Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting systems Maintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role Strong knowledge of PHP and React applications Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes and Docker Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or other cloud-based Kubernetes services Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines or Azure DevOps Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash or PowerShell Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or ARM templates Knowledge of database management and experience with database migrations Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Azure Monitor Ability to understand and work with the codebases to configure and deploy applications Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management Familiarity with Symfony and managing Symfony applications Knowledge of Azure services beyond AKS, such as Azure Container Registry (ACR) and Azure SQL Database Experience with implementing security best practices in cloud environments Axiom Benefits Comprehensive Benefits Package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision & Ancillary Policies 401K Retirement Plan with a 5% company match Paid Time Off Accrual Plan starting with 15 days for new hires' first two years of service Paid Holidays & Floating Holidays Casual Dress Code Free Roadside Assistance Education Reimbursement Childcare Reimbursement Paid Parental Leave Career Advancement Opportunities Company Sponsored Outings To learn more about Axiom, go to www.axiomconnected.com.
