Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts and accounting sub-ledgers. Performs other accounting related activities for the Company's pressure pumping and wireline operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries to general ledger accounts. Investigate cost and physical inventory variances and resolve issues. Review, investigate through analysis, and resolve accounting discrepancies. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in a timely basis. Interact and provide requested items by external auditors for quarterly review and annual audit of the consolidated financial statements. Ensures that all deadlines are met in accordance with the closing dates set by management. Performs other related duties as required. Educational and Other Requirements: Degree from a four year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance, or related field required Candidates with professional certifications (e.g. CPA, CMA) preferred Experience with a publicly traded company preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel Working knowledge of accounting systems and applications Experience with Microsoft Nav preferred Analytical problem solving ability Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details Work with detailed information and adapt to changing priorities Team orientation; willingness to help team meet goals and responsibilities Able to set priorities, meet deadlines and schedules Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines Sensitivity to confidential information Mental and Physical Requirements: Able to read, speak and write English. Ability to use sophisticated computer software programs to achieve job functions. Sitting - at desk or computer station, standing, walking, speaking, hearing - frequent Bending/Stooping, twisting, lifting - occasional Gripping, reaching, writing, fingering (data entry), handling (paper, files, etc) - frequent Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
