Turn2partners is currently recruiting for a Corporate Accountant opportunity with our client, a growing Venture Capital/Private Equity Firm here in Northern Virginia. Corporate Accountant – Investment Management/Private Equity $80,000 - $110,000 Bonus Supporting the Accounting Manager and Controller, this person will be responsible for supporting the corporate accounting/finance duties and month-close activities, financial reporting, audit and reporting requirements, evaluating and improving accounting policies/procedures, and various ad-hoc reporting and duties as they continue to build out the team. This position is offering a very competitive compensation package (Base Bonus Equity), a hybrid work schedule, very swanky office space with endless amenities, and the opportunity to join a dynamic financial services firm as they continue to grow Job Overview/Responsibilities: • Assist with the daily accounting operations, including preparing general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger month-end close duties • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparation of reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts • Prepare and assist with cash management, including cash reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and other cash and revenue reporting • Assist with annual tax filings, including the preparation of certain tax schedules • Assist in researching applicable accounting standards to ensure internal and external compliance in recording and reporting transactions • Analyze and provide improvements on accounting systems and processes • Assist with the annual financial statement audit, preparing/providing auditors with necessary supporting schedules and requests, etc. Experience and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • 2 years of progressive accounting/finance experience - public accounting (Big 4/Large Regional firm) audit experience strongly preferred • CPA certification or CPA candidate strongly preferred • Financial Services, private equity/venture capital industry experience a plus • Experience with ERP systems required, with Oracle, SAP or Concur a plus • Experience designing and implementing process improvements, establishing internal controls best practices • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple ongoing projects and deliverables Compensation: $110,000 per year
