We want you to join our team Duquesne Light is looking for a talented and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This position will provide project and production support for infrastructure technologies, such as Windows servers and operating systems, storage, cloud technologies, and SCADA with a main focus on SharePoint and M365 Products. The Infrastructure Engineer II position is expected to be a member of project teams for medium complex initiatives. This role is expected to collaborate with all levels of the organization to determine requirements to ensure appropriate solutions are implemented. . The Infrastructure Engineer II position will develop written documentation including installation and configuration procedures, and test plans. Location: Hybrid (see below), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Woods Run Complex Job Responsibilities: Provide assistance and technical support to resolve production system issues with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and VMware systems. Provide support for Infrastructure tools such as SharePoint, M365 E5, Group Policy, PowerShell, IIS, Windows Server hosted in Azure or VMware. Installation, configuration and maintenance of SharePoint Online & SharePoint servers, application, and backups. Perform SharePoint site and account management activities including creation, role assignments and user account administration to ensure security controls are in place and in compliance. Monitor system usage by evaluating built-in SharePoint reports and reviewing files and SharePoint Sites that are no longer in use to free space. Provide a high level of customer service while effectively documenting and communicating processes and improvements of a routine nature. Support small to medium projects by attending project meetings, gathering, and identifying IT Infrastructure requirements, planning, and deploying infrastructure, and communicating status updates both written and verbal. Familiarity with Hybrid Identity, EntraID Connect and Conditional Access Policies. Work with support vendors to understand new features, plan implementations, troubleshoot issue to remediation or take part in application upgrades. Provide education to users on how to utilize SharePoint by creating manuals and trainings for distribution. Respond to production incidents within documented service level agreements. General knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and Copilot for Microsoft 365 Familiarity with Microsoft Purview. Participate in On-Call rotation to provide after hour support on Windows Infrastructure responsibilities. Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred In lieu of a degree, a commensurate combination of education and experience will be considered. Typically accountable for managing one's own time and workflow. Responsible for using prescribed guidelines to analyze situations and solve problems. Continues to build knowledge base and develop capabilities by partnering with more experienced staff as needed. Decision Impact: Problems and issues faced are vague but may be recognizable based on past experience. Accountable for some direct level of reasoning and decision making in straightforward situations based on precedents. Hybrid Work Position follows our hybrid work model, with a minimum of two days working in the office and the remaining days working remotely. Reporting location and frequency may be subject to change based on job role and department needs.
