Provide a short description of the Position: This Software Analyst position is required to support continued development and maintenance efforts for the NYWIC Data Mart, in response to agency requirements. NYWIC is a web application that is used to deliver nutritional benefits to New York's women, infants, and children in need; also used for vendor management, investigation case management, research and reporting to USDA. The Data Mart is a business intelligence platform used for reporting purposes. Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate: Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following: 1. Work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, communicate and validate the requirements for changes to current business reporting requirements and policies for the development of new operational reports and analytics. 2. Conduct data analysis of business and user needs and develop business requirements documents in accordance with requirements and protocols during multiple project phases to create OBIEE reports. 3. Create business documentation (Business Requirement documents, use cases, swim lanes, process documentation) that detail the Business Intelligence reporting requirements and deliverables for OBIEE reports, dashboards, and ad hoc tools. 4. Work closely with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence technical team members and Business Owners to create Business Requirement documentation and to communicate the business requirements to the technical team for development of logical and physical dimensional data model reporting requirements. 5. Collaborate with data modelers, ETL developers, programmers, and the business owners to translate report requirements, provide clarification of business rules, prioritize development, obtain signoff, and ensure successful delivery of accurate end user reporting requirements 6. Create and execute test scripts, scenarios, and test plans to validate initial business requirements and report output through the DEV, QA and PROD migrations testing for accuracy and sign off on deliverables. 7. Assist in providing training & end user support for DOH/NYWIC staff utilizing the OBIEE Analytics tool.
