Rough Carpenter - Side Wall Team Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is partnering with a well-established client in Romulus, Michigan within the Modular Home Manufacturing industry. Rough Carpenter - Side Wall Team Job Summary: Pay: $18.00 - $24.00/hour based on experience. 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with potential overtime on weekends as needed. Responsibilities: Frame and assemble side walls for modular homes, ensuring all components are properly cut, aligned, and secured according to blueprints and project specifications. Measure, cut, and install wooden or metal studs, sheathing, and other materials needed for side wall construction. Use hand and power tools to complete tasks such as measuring, cutting, nailing, and securing materials. Ensure all side wall assemblies meet building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Work closely with other crew members and departments to ensure modular units are constructed on schedule and within project requirements. Inspect side walls to ensure they are level, square, and constructed to company standards. Follow safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing carpentry tasks. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, keeping tools and materials properly stored and in good condition. Perform additional carpentry-related duties as required to support modular home construction. Rough Carpenter - Side Wall Team Qualifications: 4 years of experience in rough carpentry, framing, or related construction work. Experience in modular home construction or residential construction preferred. Ability to read blueprints and work orders to complete carpentry tasks accurately. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and other carpentry equipment. Strong understanding of construction safety standards and building codes. Physical ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
