JOB TITLE: Production Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Manager works as a part of the management team to ensure the execution of Magnolia Bakery quality standards. Production Managers train all team members and maintain a safe and sanitary food service environment. Uphold the core values of the organization and its mission while consistently presenting and promoting brand integrity, product quality and customer service standards.

REPORTS TO: Head of Production, Plant Manager

SALARY: $60,000-$70,000/yr + bonus eligibility

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES

  • Fulfills the necessary job requirements of all production team members as needed and has an active role in daily production
  • Trains and retrains production team members on product standards
  • Keep all FDA and cGMP standards and checklists updated and noted per assigned area
  • Responsible for inventory upkeep and prep writing
  • Maintains documentation for production, following inventory procedures and product rotation
  • Anticipates and resolves any production and product issues to reduce waste
  • Ensures Magnolia Bakery standards are being attained for all baked goods and finished products
  • Maintains recipe books with current and updated recipes and evaluates GOH production logbook Follow all recipe procedures.
  • Responsible for operating and monitoring proper functioning of all kitchen equipment.
  • Follows all safety and sanitation procedures including daily shift health and safety checklists.
  • Completes all BOH rudiment skill evaluations as requested by management team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Stand for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with coworkers and management.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Work environment includes working with hot cooking equipment.
  • Occasional moderate to heavy lifting and carrying, bending, and reaching overhead may be required; Can lift up to 50lbs
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3-5 years of Management experience overseeing twenty or more employees in a Food Service or Retail Service environment.
  • Leadership skills include a strong desire and ability to inspire, motivate and develop a diverse group of individuals.
  • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Certified in qualifying local food safety protection course.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency with Microsoft office suite, POS software and web navigation.
  • Hours of work for the position are 45-50 hours per week.
  • Ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners. Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Follows policies and procedures.
  • Takes directions well and hits the ground running.
  • Understands expectations of role and works within the boundaries of the role.
  • Organized with good time management skills.
