More information about DARPA can be found at: http://www.darpa.mil Amentum is currently seeking an Aircraft/Missile Software Engineer in support of a DARPA research, development, and test program. This position will serve as the primary support contractor interface, on a daily basis, to DARPA leadership, the performer(s), other integrated product teams (IPTs), and research and development communities across the Government. Candidate will interact with the performer(s) in order to monitor and track software design, development, and test progress, will report status to the Government team, and will identify and aid in the facilitation of mitigation strategies. Applicants must have technical leadership experience, and possess superior oral and written communications skills. Candidates should be self-starters capable of working both independently and as part of a team. This position is based in Arlington, VA and will be required to travel 25-50% of the time. You must have excellent organizational skills and act as a team player both within the program office and with other program offices. You must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient in Windows applications, including Microsoft Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical support and subject matter expertise in monitoring the execution of advanced technology development and demonstration programs. Perform independent technical assessments and feasibility analyses of new technologies and system designs. Attend, monitor, and report on system field testing and demonstrations. Support technical interchange meetings and design reviews. Develop and run simulation models. Identify and implement new program concepts. Provide program management and acquisition support. Author program status briefings and technical reports. Required Qualifications : B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant degree with 10 years’ experience Must have an active Top Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Please note U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret clearance Experience working with aircraft or missile flight critical software development and certification Experience working with embedded computer systems for aircraft Experience in planning and executing software and hardware in the loop testing Experience with Agile software development and test methodologies Demonstrated experience managing software development schedule, budget and risk management Systems engineering experience to include requirements and design artifact development Experience in defense-related technology research and/or development programs. Preferred Qualifications: Active TS/SCI US Government Clearance Experience with mission critical software development and certification Familiarity with cyber security related software requirements and test techniques Experience with various government software interface standards (ex.
