The role focuses on implementing and maintaining secure IT system administration practices specific to clearance environments. This is a hybrid role so there will be an expectation to be on site regularly with occasional trips to other sites. Nationality Requirements Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers. Job Description Responsibilities: Implement and maintain security controls for classified information systems Assist in the configuration and administration of secure networks and systems Perform routine security assessments and vulnerability scans on classified systems Participate in the implementation of security policies and procedures specific to classified environments Assist in monitoring security events and incidents within the classified network Support the accreditation and certification processes for classified systems Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and security controls Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve security issues Participate in security awareness training for system users Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies relevant to classified environments Requirements: Preferred Qualifications Prior experience or internship in IT system administration Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 and other relevant security standards for classified systems Basic knowledge of security tools and technologies used in classified environments CompTIA Security certification or equivalent Understanding of risk management frameworks used in government environments Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; OR equivalent IT experience Basic understanding of network security, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher-level security clearance Strong attention to detail and commitment to following security protocols Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication skills, both written and verbal Willingness to work in a classified environment with strict security measures Ability to work effectively in a team environment Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in cybersecurity Special Requirements Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher-level security clearance May be required to work non-standard hours or be on-call to address security incidents Must adhere to all security protocols and procedures related to working in a classified environment Onsite and local to the systems being supported.
