Position Title : Scrum Master Location : Remote Duration : Long Term About the Role: We are seeking a Scrum Master with a proven track record of delivering successful federal projects to join our team for a critical project within a government healthcare initiative. This role requires a servant leader who can apply agile practices, ensure team productivity, and enhance collaboration in a remote work environment. Responsibilities: Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews). Guide and coach the team in Agile practices and principles, ensuring the team adheres to Scrum theory, practices, and guidelines. Support the product owner in maintaining the product backlog and ensuring clarity of requirements. Identify and remove impediments to the team's progress and address any challenges that arise. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging feedback and growth. Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders. Track and communicate team progress, metrics, and performance to stakeholders. Protect the team from external distractions to ensure focus on sprint goals. Promote a collaborative and transparent working environment. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preference for degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Experience: 5-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an Agile environment. Strong federal experience, particularly with government healthcare initiatives or similar projects. Experience in facilitating agile ceremonies and coaching teams on Agile practices. Soft Skills: Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage all team members and stakeholders. Ability to handle conflicts and resolve issues effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a remote setting and manage a distributed team. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
