We are seeking a dynamic Software Engineer II to join our established HR Technology team. This role bridges the gap between technical development and consultative functions, focusing on both internal development and vendor management. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and managing HR technologies, including working with SaaS vendors, and will be adept in developing REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Role: • Technical Ownership: Manage and enhance Mastercard HR technologies such as Unlocked, Phenom, and others. Ensure technical compliance with MC standards and drive integration efforts. • API Development: Develop and maintain REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot. Work on integrating various systems and applications to streamline HR processes. • Vendor Management: Act as a consultant for third-party vendors and SaaS providers. Ensure all external solutions comply with organizational standards and seamlessly integrate with existing systems. Interact directly with vendors, leveraging experience from pre-sales engineering or high-tier support roles. • Internal Development: Stand up new integrated layers and development cases. Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain internal solutions. • Reporting and Communication: Present updates and progress to manager-level stakeholders. Provide clear communication across HR and technical teams. • Develop and manage BI dashboards, including Power BI, as a value-add capability. • Collaboration: Work closely with various team members, including payroll, talent onboarding (Talmundo), Talent Marketplace, Unlocked, and CWM (Beeline). All About You: • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for API development. • Corporate experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and Angular. • Tools & Technologies: Experience with Power BI is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with HR technologies such as Phenom, Concur, and other SaaS solutions is advantageous. • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult effectively with HR teams and third-party vendors. Strong problem-solving abilities, a collaborative mindset, and experience presenting to manager-level stakeholders. In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
