Job Summary We seek a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Azure Cloud, Docker, and containerization technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and strong scripting skills in Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Kubernetes. At SHI, the DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers’ needs. This role requires excellent collaboration with developers and IT operations teams to ensure that software development and cloud infrastructures follow established processes and functionalities as intended. This position is required to report to the SHI office location in Somerset, NJ, or Austin, TX office location as determined by SHI management. Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Azure Cloud services Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions Automate application build and deployment processes using various scripting languages Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment Maintain and improve infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible Ensure secure coding practices and implement security measures within the DevOps pipeline Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes Plan projects, determine dependencies, and manage tasks to ensure timely delivery Leverage Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions Create DevOps infrastructure solutions to support new applications with automated onboarding using built-in recipes for code reuse Strong understanding of secure coding practices Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and project planning Manage and configure Azure networking, including virtual networks (vnets), private networks, peering, private DNS, DNS resolvers, and understand their interactions both within a subscription and across multiple subscriptions and on-premises environments Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 5 years experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role 4 years of experience with cloud computing 3 years of experience working with Azure Proven experience with Azure Cloud services and infrastructure management Strong expertise in Docker and containerization technologies Hands-on experience with Jenkins, including setup and management of Controller and Agent Nodes Proficiency in GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automation Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practices Strong scripting skills in Groovy, Python, PowerShell, and Shell Scripting Strong experience with Linux operating systems Required Skills Proficient experience with Windows operating systems Excellent cross-team collaboration and communication skills Strong documentation skills to maintain clear and detailed records Strong automation skills for cloud, application build, and deployment processes Knowledge of automation tools like Terraform and Ansible is a must Experience with Kubernetes is a plus AWS Cloud experience is a plus Certifications Required Preferred: Azure Azure Fundamentals Certificate and Azure Administrator Associate Certification OR Azure Solutions Architect Expert Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $115,000 – $170,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
