Top 3 Must Have Skills: 10 years of IT Infrastructure Architecture experience including IT Operations, Networking, and IT Security Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline Expertise in creating roadmaps for future state of IT infrastructure initiatives particularly involving cloud Position Description: The Infrastructure Architect will drive enterprise optimization by introducing capabilities (inclusive of all functions) for their domain of responsibility utilizing in-depth knowledge and expert skills to advance domain strategies. They will translate business needs for the domain into architectural solutions that meet performance, reliability, and security expectations. The Infrastructure Architect will also apply enterprise roadmaps, principles, standards, and practices to drive their domain strategies and execution. What You'll Get to Do: • Lead preparation of infrastructure architecture viewpoints and models depicting current, target, and interim states. • Use current state viewpoints to identify and analyze pain points and opportunities (PPOs). • Lead advanced modeling and analysis to meet the strategic needs of the organization with respect to system, information, functional/non-functional needs, performance, and security/regulatory requirements. • Create and utilize architecture patterns and ensure alignment with IT strategies and reference architectures. • Ensure target state alignment and integration across architecture domains. • Ensure upstream alignment / traceability to business needs via business architecture and downstream alignment / traceability with solution building blocks. • Leads the extension / enhancement of infrastructure architecture strategies, standards, and guidelines. • Serve as consultative resource to Infrastructure, Operations & Security (IO&S) leadership and technical teams, business units, and external partners that are creating/developing/maintaining system designs in areas such as infrastructure, security, operations, integration, disaster recovery, and network management spanning multiple heterogeneous platforms. • Advise Infrastructure leadership on transitioning to hybrid cloud architecture and impact on existing capabilities, process, and skillsets. • Lead design, engineering, and implementation of assets for internal use in solutions to improve solution quality; collaborate through implementation phase. • Lead peer reviews and represent the infrastructure architecture domain in briefings to the Architecture Review Board. • Oversee publishing and maintenance of viewpoints/work products in the architecture repository, ensuring they are organized, accurate, and accessible. • Disposition stakeholder comments/feedback received via project and non-project channels. • Ensure that regulatory and compliance issues are addressed in solutions. • Lead infrastructure assessments for most complex new/proposed projects for architecture impacts in support of annual planning, resource estimation, and alignment with IT strategy and enterprise architecture. • Provide input to project, product, and enterprise technology roadmaps. • Provide regular reporting on progress, issues, and opportunities related to infrastructure architecture. • Represent the infrastructure architecture domain in the drafting of RFIs/RFPs and the evaluation/scoring of vendor proposals. • Lead collaboration with other teams (business and technical), key stakeholders, and partners to understand needs to maximize architecture impact and address technical limitations. • Lead evaluation/selection of a solution design that aligns with IT strategies, standards, and guidelines. • Provide technical leadership and direction on infrastructure and system integration matters, diagnosis/prevention of production problems, and assistance with communication of incident impacts to business and customers. • Serve as primary representative / expert on core technologies for Disaster Recovery integration with the changing technical landscape. • Develop and implement Operating and Service Level Agreements as well as implementation of ITIL processes, procedures, and disciplines. • Lead the development/enhancement of infrastructure architecture methods and tools. • Ensure the alignment/integration of infrastructure architecture processes/deliverables with those of other architecture domains and SDLC disciplines. • Lead development of infrastructure related communications/education materials for use with stakeholders and architecture/SDLC partners. • Leads research emerging domain trends to determine their relevancy and fit for the organization. You'll Bring these Qualifications: • 10 years' Experience in Architecture Domain. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (an additional 4 years of work experience is required in lieu of Bachelor's degree). • Experience developing integrated roadmaps aligned with business, product, and architecture strategies. • Experience elaborating architecture strategies to develop comprehensive action plans for adoption. • Experience developing future state vision, strategies, roadmaps, patterns, and standards. • Experience development of domain strategies and roadmaps (i.e., application, infrastructure, security, or similar). • Experience collaborating with procurement, legal and audit on vendor/technology selection. • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Visio. • Ability to motivate and influence others so that project objectives are met in a timely manner. • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop high quality solutions. • Ability to coach, delegate, and develop architects and engineers. • Ability to manage cross-domain architecture solutions and issues. • Expertise with domain related architecture frameworks, methods, and tools. • Effective organizational, interpersonal/relationship management, analytical, communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills. • Experience using architecture modeling tools (i.e., Orbus Infinity or similar) Best Regards,
