Job Description ASRC Federal AFSS is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a Senior Project Support Specialist to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD. Responsibilities: Serve as Code 605 Science Proposal Support Office (SPSO) Coordinator: provides support and guidance to the NASA Goddard research analysis proposing community, particularly in proposal budgets, and organizational and record-keeping support to SPSO. Maintain SPSO solicitation list (tag up list) spreadsheet - add new solicitations and proposals from various sources (NPSIRES, SPSO budget tool and email); update daily Prior to SPSO weekly tag up, generate tag up list pdf and email to distribution list Provide team with status of proposals at SPSO weekly tag up Provide guidance to proposers for using the SPSO budget tool and GSFC processes for proposal submissions; respond to various questions from proposers Review completed budget entry for accuracy Update SPSO tool database with current proposal status and information (i.e. e-router created; proposal submitted; NSPIRES proposal submitted numbers, decisions, etc.) When the new ROSES solicitation is released (around February 14, each year), prepare spreadsheet to send to SPSO tool programmers for upload of new ROSES programs in SPSO tool Update admin section of the SPSO tool database, as needed (i.e. civil servant salary rate table; SED assessment rate table; new and amended solicitations) Work with Senior Science Proposal Manager to establish internal deadlines for upcoming proposals (3 month look ahead) and send dates to SPSO website admins to post to the website Send internal deadlines reminder emails to list of known proposers for each solicitation Each week prior to preparing the Weekly Report check NSPIRES for selections documents and update decisions in SPSO tool database Prepare 605 Weekly Report with recent submissions, selections, and red team reviews. Send to Senior Science Proposal Manager Send weekly proposal submitted metrics to directorate office and cc division POCs Assist SPSO support personnel with creating and tracking E-Router packages during busy periods and as back-up Assist Administrative Specialist and proposers with creating redacted budgets for subawards Meet (bi-weekly) with SPSO Team and SPSO tool programmers to address any issues and review tickets created for SPSO tool enhancements Provide tutorials for posting to website and presenting to targeted audiences/proposers (i.e., how to use the budget tool; e-router process; proposal process) Additional duties as required Requirements NASA Goddard experience and on-site office presence at least 3 days per week preferred. Proficiency in MS Office suite of products and an advanced level of proficiency in Excel (complex spreadsheets and formulas, pivot tables, data sorting and reporting, charts/graphs, etc.) and strong analytical skills are required. Must demonstrate ability to manage time efficiently and meet strict deadlines. Exceptional customer service skills, both over the phone, electronically and in person; proactive and quick to respond to customer requests. Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong sense of urgency, self-initiative and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate high degree of accuracy, organization, exceptional attention to detail and high level of productivity. Able to manage, track, and report progress on multiple projects and identify and communicate potential issues. Ability to research information independently, develop process improvements, and to provide insightful and meaningful information from data. Strong capability to learn new software tools and systems quickly and independently. Familiarity with databases and how data is extracted and/or experience in communicating technical issues to system administrators is preferred. Ability to work independently to complete tasks with limited guidance as well as in a team environment; ability to interact well with all levels of professionals as a team player. Ability to follow specific directions, document procedures, and ask questions as needed. Possess leadership qualities, a strong sense of ethics, discretion, and professional sophistication. Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of experience or 8 or more years of experience in lieu of degree. This posting is offering a pay range of $61,499 to $92,249 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
