As a Parks Operations Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to join our team in LCRA's East District Parks! This position will be responsible for holding the standard of our parks high to achieve LCRA Parks' goal of being the most dynamic park system in the nation. You will be trusted to:
- Perform general day-to-day custodial, grounds keeping, minor maintenance and customer service duties within a park setting, ensuring a safe, clean, and hospitable environment for our guests. - Clean facilities (restrooms, offices, classrooms, cabins, fish cleaning stations, fee booths, pavilions, porches, decks, dining halls, kitchens, picnic tables, fire rings and grills and, as needed, dormitories) according to established standards. - Perform routine maintenance including painting, changing AC filters and light bulbs, minor carpentry and plumbing (e.g. leaks, sinks, toilet problems) repairs. - Perform customer service activities providing information, and assisting guests on the grounds. - Perform trail maintenance duties include grading trails, trimming limbs, removal of damaged/dead trees, weed eating, construction of water bars and erosion devices and repairing trail system after heavy rains/flooding. - Maintain and repair park equipment and tools, perform daily inspections of vehicles and maintain records.
You qualify with:
- Driver's License
You are a great fit with:
- Knowledge of custodial, landscaping and grounds maintenance techniques. - Knowledge of materials, methods, standards, equipment and tools used in park maintenance - Knowledge of mechanical principles and skill in the use of hand tools (e.g. rakes, shovels, hammers, pliers, loppers, post hole digger, auger, etc.) and power equipment (e. g., chain saws, weed eater, blowers, power washers, nail guns, mowers, drills, grinders, saws, etc.) - Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision in a team environment
