SPECIALTY: Emergency Medicine LOCATION: Council Bluffs, IA JOB TYPE: Locum Tenens JOB NUMBER: 48056 Details: I am looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position at Council Bluffs. The position starts on January 13, 2025, with shifts available from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM. The role involves routine ER duties and codes, with minimal trauma responsibilities. The facility uses EPIC for EMR and Dragon for dictation, with no scribes. Support staff includes 12-20 hours of APP coverage and an easy transfer center process. Requirements: * License: Iowa (Highly Preferred) or IMLC * DEA: Active Iowa DEA * Lifesaving Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS Submission Requirements: * Board Certification - Board Certified, Board Eligible * IA License - Highly Preferred or IMLC * Other Certifications - ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS * Malpractice - Clean Preferred * Availability at time of name clear - Required Certification Requirements: * ACLS * ATLS * BLS * DEA * PALS Experience: * Actively practicing as an Emergency Medicine Physician for the last 12 months or completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency in the last 6 months Credentialing Information: * Timeframe: 60 days (completed application needs to be returned to facility 48 hours after receipt) * Requirements: Case logs from facilities need to be returned ASAP * Minimum Education: M.D., D.O. * Training: Completion of an ACGME/AOA approved Emergency Medicine residency program If you would like more information about this job, call and ask for a SUMO recruiter referencing the job number found at the top.
