Your Role: Sr. Accountant plays a lead role in departmental functions such as month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, selected annual filings, and ad hoc requests. The Sr. Accountant also plays an integral role in the oversight and completion of direct billing process. In addition, the Sr. Accountant helps to provide support with multiple accounting functions in domestic and international operations. The Senior Accountant plays a lead role in the department and is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, perform account reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, prepare tax returns and assist with audit preparation. This position additionally helps to provide support with multiple accounting functions in domestic and international operations. What You'll Do: The job duties listed below are not all inclusive of what the employee may be responsible for. Other duties may be assigned. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statement statements, and cash flow statements. Oversee the general ledger, recording transactions accurately and maintaining the chart of accounts. Full close of domestic entity monthly including all journal entries (recurring, ad hoc, accruals, and prepaids), prepaid amortization and fixed assets balancing all GL accounts as necessary. Complete month-end analytics for domestic budget versus actual discrepancies. Perform assigned balance sheet reconciliations and analysis. Balance all Company transactions on a monthly basis. Record all investment entries and reconcile to the general ledger monthly. Post daily AMS integrations. Provide monthly capitalization entries for all CIP projects involving in-house labor including balancing all projects to the general ledger monthly and prepping selected reconciliations for tax R & D submission at year-end. Complete annual fixed asset roll-forward for all sites. Support and partner with the Financial Services division. Complete and file annual unclaimed property report. Assist with annual audit and other compliance audits as directed. Implement accounting policies and procedures, as necessary. What Makes a Great Candidate: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required CPA preferred 5 years in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on progressively responsible positions Public accounting experience a plus Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards Demonstrated general ledger and account reconciliation experience Intermediate Excel skills required; advanced skills preferred Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines Superior analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Dynamics 365 software a plus.
