Join our committed team and help shape the future we envision.Summary We are currently looking for a Virtual RN to partner with our team of nurses caring for patient's undergoing chemotherapy, requiring treatment of side effects, or symptom management. From Moffitt's Command Center our nursing staff provides knowledgeable and skilled care within a unique interdisciplinary team.The Ideal Candidate 5+ year of inpatient hospital experienceOncology Nursing experience (Chemotherapy)Experience with Cerner Power ChartResponsibilities:Virtual Monitoring and SupportASSESSMENT:•Utilize telehealth platforms and virtual communication tools toconduct remote patient assessments and follow-ups, adhering toestablished clinical protocols and standards of practice.•Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status withinthe nursing scope of practice including but not limited to medicalhistory review, vital signs monitoring, and symptom evaluationremotely.•Utilize electronic systems and dashboards to track virtual caretasks, assignments, and completion status, ensuring timelyresponse and resolution.•Monitor incoming virtual care requests and worklists, prioritizingpatient needs based on acuity, urgency, and resource availability.IMPLEMENTATION:•Determines care priorities, provides attentive reassurance andcreates a healing environment based on changing and uniquepatient needs.•Anticipates patient problems and adapts by setting priorities andcommunicating changes in status in an encouraging manner.•Virtually engages in mutual problem solving with theinterdisciplinary health care team when initiating patient care andserves as patient advocate.Credentials and Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing In lieu of Bachelors, an Associate's degree in Nursing plus 2 year of relevant experience may be consideredPreferred Education-Master's DegreeRegistered Nurse (RN) RN-Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of FL, or a valid Multi-State privilege to practice in FL (must declare FL as primary State of residence within 30 days from date of hire if licensed in another eNLC compact state with multi-state privileges)Basic Life Support (BLS)Minimum Requirement:5 Years of RN experienceBasic Life Support (BLS)Technological experience with EHR, zoom, and various virtual platforms.Equal Employment OpportunityMoffitt Cancer Center is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
