Certifications: BLS or scheduling BLS within 6 months of hire is required. ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred. Must-Have: - Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited program with at least a Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.- Valid driver's license. Job Description: - Responsible for evaluating and treating schoolchildren (ages 3-21) with physical, mental, and/or cognitive deficits that affect classroom success.- Perform evaluations and treatment based on functional outcomes within an academic setting.- Accountable to the School Therapy Program Coordinator and Rehabilitation Services Manager.- Collaborate closely with medical staff, clinical staff, special education instructors/paraprofessionals, teachers, other professional staff, and administrators.- This position is a combination of both inpatient and outpatient settings.- Occasional weekend coverage, approximately every 6th weekend, focusing only on inpatients.- Full-time medical benefits along with dental, vision, and life insurance (short and long-term disability) are available.- Engage in continuous collaboration with various teams to provide comprehensive occupational therapy services in educational environments.
