Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented MDPAF Platform Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to work on state-of-the-art platform services and integrated hybrid solutions, supporting our USSF customer.

What You'll Be Doing:

Define requirements and redesign applications to support both business processes and data analytic efforts.

Developing software and automated tests using C++. Java, Python, Java and/or JavaScript.

Deep dive discovery and performance assessments on existing enterprise platform utilizing application frameworks and APIs

In depth integration of COTS/GOTS/FOSS applications into designated frameworks

Participating in technical discussions to assist in planning future development efforts.

Design, build and maintain new web applications for the organization from an operational performance and metrics user interface

Design, build and maintain data dashboards as hosted applications and or web-based solutions.

Collaborate with the team to ensure applications align with organizational goals as well as customer needs

Improve overall application development process and continuously find ways to modernize and improve performance

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field and 8+ years of related experience.

4+ years deploying and managing RedHat OpenShift environments to include scaling strategies, service mesh (Istio) configuration, routing, service deployment/application troubleshooting.

VMWare VCenter/VSphere experience building virtualized networks, importing/exporting VM Images, deploying virtual machines, configuring storage pools.

Advanced skills in writing, deploying, and debugging Infrastructure as Code solutions (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

Cybersecurity scanning, STIGs, HW/SW requirements and verification methods.

Scripting experience for automation – Bash, Python, PowerShell

Experience creating CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab and integrating to external codebases and targets.

Experience containerizing existing software and troubleshooting containers from external sources. Security first focus on rootless deployments – Docker, PodMan, Docker Compose, Buildah

Linux and Windows System Administration experience.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

USSF FORGE MDPAF development and/or architecture experience

Experience working in a SAFe Agile development environments

Application development experience with HTML5, CSS3 web standards, and Javascript

Experience working DoD/security

Minimum Clearance Required to Start:

Secret

Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
