Your impact
At Jacobs, we’re seeking a Commercial Manager who will assist in the commercial function of the Delivery Partner (DP) role including the development and implementation of the commercial strategy for the program lifecycle including procurement, commercial and contract management, schedule management, supply chain management, cost verification, assurance, compliance and ultimately commercial close. The Commercial Manager will interface with and support the other key functions, for example, Safety and Environmental, Design and Engineering, Project Controls and Delivery. • Reviews all contract documents to minimize conflicts and ambiguities• Develops and administers the design project risk register. Aggressively manage risk for claim avoidance• Manage and negotiate the approval of all change orders, including providing any additional supporting documentation as required. Support Project/Regional managements on assessing outstanding claims and financial implications on projects• Support to the project and legal department on defense of claims. Includes preparation of change orders and claim logs• Develop project change management plan, focus on contractual issues related to change, review change logs, drive entitlement discussions• Manage contractual notice requirements during delivery• Actively involved in dispute resolution• Develops and implements project specific procedures for project delivery, contract management and administration in compliance with company policy• Support project team during proposal phase including review of RFP and contract for deliverables and risks and notice requirements. Provide input on pricing/contingency. Identify execution ambiguity and contract language changes. Work with Project Team to identify contract exclusions for incorporation into Design Services Agreement• Proactively administrators on-going contracts. Achieves compliance with contract documents by ensuring the requirements of the contracts are implemented and maintained. Administers and oversees contract preformation by monitoring compliance documents, schedules and deliverables• Draft subcontracts for design or engineering services. Administrates prime contractors and flow downs to subcontractors, task orders and modifications. Administers and oversee contract performances by monitoring compliance documents, schedules and deliverables and requirements• Review various project deliverables (Quality Control Manual, NCR responses, etc.) to address and eliminated any unintended risks/exposures
Here's what you'll need
• Experience of the commercial leadership of large infrastructure programs using reimbursable target cost contracts. • Bachelors or Masters in a Business Management related field • Experience of contract management tools, reporting and financial systems.
