We are seeking a talented and experienced Accountant to become part of our team, helping us assess and monitor the financial and operational controls of our hotels. This position is fully remote with occasional travel requirements. Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Eastern Time Zone.


JOB SUMMARY: Analyze financial and operational controls of the hotels


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Process all accounts payable for the hotels
  • Analyze and reconcile all general ledger accounts and bank statements to ensure financial information is available and accurate
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Maintain statistical and financial records
  • Compare actual performance to planned performance, identify variances and initiate corrective action
  • Monitor and audit procedures for control of supplies, moneys, and credit
  • Monitor Inventory Controls
  • Review and monitor all Accounts Receivables, House Accounts, and Advance Deposit accounts
  • Monitor policies and procedures established by Lodgco Management, LLC
  • Analysis of actual and historical ADR, Occupancy, REVPar
  • Stay up to date on Brand standards
  • Assist in the compilation and preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Utilize all reporting and analysis tools available through Brand Software
  • Use Tax/CVB Tax

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality/finance


ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Valid driver’s license and safe driving record – satisfactory criminal background screening required – professional references


SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITY

This position does not manage any staff members.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, regular business hours.
