Job Description:
As a Data Scientist at Restaurant Depot, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to make informed business decisions and drive process improvements. You will work with a diverse set of data sources, conduct rigorous analyses, and translate your findings into actionable recommendations to help Restaurant Depot achieve its goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within large datasets.
- Develop and implement advanced statistical models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
- Create clear and compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to various stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business objectives and develop data-driven solutions.
- Design and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Continuously monitor and enhance data quality and accuracy.
- Help in identifying alternative products and cost savings opportunities – recommend solutions and present results in meaningful terms by telling stories with data.
- Gather and identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Standardize inputs and outputs to frequent reports to increase overall efficiency of the departments.
- Prepare, present and analyze daily, weekly and monthly reports around key metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or similar.
- Strong data visualization skills (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Experience with machine learning and statistical modeling.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen analytical mindset.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of meeting project deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
