A Warehouse Clerk is in charge of the administration of all warehouse related activities. Is accountable for the suitable handling and processing of the orders and inventory in the warehouse. Assisting with tasks to help the warehouse workers and maintaining seamless functions in the warehouse are also amongst some of the core essentials of the profile of a warehouse clerk.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Authenticating the receipt and dispatch of consignments with the order forms.
- Maintaining an account of the entire inventory in the warehouse.
- Creating the proper labels, tags for packaging of goods and materials.
- Following all necessary documentation and legal procedures for dispatch and receiving goods.
- Organizing and developing systematic plans for loading and unloading of supplies
- Assigning work and functions to all warehouse workers and staff.
- Assuring proper and smooth functioning of all activities.
- Receives call to place orders.
Skills and Specifications:
- Should have exceptional decision making abilities
- Strong interpersonal and motivational capabilities.
- Understanding of all safety and legal procedures for handling and receiving goods.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines.
- Ability to efficiently coordinate duties with internal and external workers of the company.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years of warehouse, or relevant work experience Able to work in a fast paced and professional work environment
- Food Manufacturing Background
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Abilities and Skills:
- Very good organizational skills
- Ability to think logically
- Understand basic math
- Understand written procedures
- Good Computer Skills
- Good Customer Service and Phone Ethics
Work Schedule is 12am-9am, must be able to work on Sunday which is the first day of the week.
