Job Description
Job Summary:
A warehouse technician is responsible for helping maintain the inventory of products in a warehouse. Job duties may include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts, and general warehouse maintenance and cleaning.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Run multiple pieces of equipment, i.e., conveyors, printers, metal detectors, etc.
Manufacture products to ensure that they meet specifications and HACCP and customer requirements.
Follow GMP'S and all Allergen and Organic handling requirements.
Run QA checks on raw materials and finished goods to ensure specifications meet all requirements.
Housekeeping.
Safety - responsible for the safety of themselves and team
Identify/troubleshoot underperforming equipment.
Maintain all regulatory, customer, and in-house paperwork as required.
Implement improvement plans that optimize resources and KPIs
Assist management as needed to support projects and other initiatives as assigned
Know how to use LOTO (lockout Tagout) and apply it correctly
Use and apply 5S standards to their work areas.
Understand/communicate machine/line specific KPIs and report to management
Understand and adhere to all safety guidelines and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)Ensure compliance to GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality SOPs & standards throughout the facility
Maintain records & documentation following internationally recognized guidelines
Support internal audits for food safety, quality, OSHA/safety, & chemical compliance
Flexibility to assist on the floor during production runs
Assist in the promotion of a strong & positive food safety culture

Active involvement in implementation, upkeep and continuous improvement of food safety as part of an interdisciplinary team

Education and Experience:
High School degree or equivalent.
Thorough working knowledge of all current OSHA and Safety Standards
Attention to detail
Must work well in teams and demonstrate behavior conducive to promoting strong teamwork
Must possess a positive attitude in a fast-paced production environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts
Ability to sit for 8-hour shifts
Occasional work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and temperature extremes to complete work assignments
Ability to be unfazed by ambiguity and comfortable in environments with shifting priorities
Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Perform work in a freezer environment for up to 2 hours per day.
Work in wet and cold &/or wet and hot environments
