Service Champions has an immediate need for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Warehouse Associate at our Colton location. The successful candidate must be able to work efficiently with great attention to detail, should have exceptional multi-tasking skills and be organized and able to perform in a fast-paced environment. This is an hourly, nonexempt, at-will position. Must be available to work full shifts plus overtime.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load and unload trucks, inspect products for defects and damages
  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate shipping and receiving of packages including reconciling packing slips and invoices
  • Responsible for inventory control and quality control
  • Operate forklift and various motor vehicles
  • Stage equipment for installs
  • Deliver parts and equipment to jobsites
  • Create and maintain purchase orders, ensure completed paperwork is submitted to accounts payable and entered into databases accurately
  • Able to work with internal departments to resolve customer concerns
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean staging area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Clean and maintain warehouse and facilities, including bathrooms, breakroom and other areas as assigned
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of prior warehouse experience required
  • Ability to work professionally with internal and external customers and vendors
  • Ability to drive multiple vehicle types and satisfy vehicle insurance requirements
  • PC ability with an emphasis in Microsoft Office required
  • Knowledge of Plumbing parts and equipment desirable
  • Forklift certification desired
  • Positive and energetic attitude
  • Valid driver's license, with minimal DMV infractions
  • Satisfactory passing of mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Available to work overtime and weekends as needed

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • The principal duties of this position are performed in a variety of environments, including customer homes, the outdoors, and field environments at development and work sites on uneven and rough terrain.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to ascend/descend ladders and balance.
  • Required to work in outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, and temperature swings, for extended periods of time.
  • Requires concentration and attention to detail; requires a high level of organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Standing up to 8 hours per day; Walking up to 8 hours per day on uneven, difficult terrain.
  • Occasional heavy manual labor to include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular and repetitive grasping, gripping, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and working overhead.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others and to convey detailed spoken instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms, or alarms).
  • May work in closed or cramped space on occasion.
