Summary
The Warehouse Manager reports to the LOGISTEED-America, Inc. Branch Manager.
This position requires excellent leadership skills along with the ability to monitor workflow in a fast-paced distribution operation, to oversee coaching and counseling of supervisors, and associates and have the ability to mentor and lead a diverse team to success. Additionally, including but not limited to:
- Must be able to communicate and interact with GM and Customers in a productive and professional manner
- Lead daily operations team resulting in successful results that are reflected in established key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain inventory accuracy by established target inventory discrepancy ratio
- Read and comprehend SOP’s, work instructions, email and documents; measure and count accurately; write legibly
- Follow established procedures and meet or exceed safety, quality and productivity standards

Essential Functions
Operations
- Long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals
- Coordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities to ensure necessary operational results
- Analyze and improve organizational process and workflow, employee and space requirements, and equipment layout; implement changes
- Auditing all operations to ensure processes are followed according to standard work sheet
- Ensuring associates have appropriate tools to perform their assigned duties
- Managing assigned area to meet manpower requirements, equipment maintenance, work flow prioritization and daily scheduling.
- Meeting established standard operating procedures and productivity goals, safety and quality standards
- Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
- Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, utilization of inventory management systems including WMS and shipping
- Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
- Work closely with GM and management team to set, communicate and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation via all conduits.
- Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to equipment quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site.
- Manage relationships with key operations vendors
- Track vendor service levels
Communications

Safety
- Abiding by all Federal. State, Local safety regulations and OSHA rules and LOGISTEED-America, Inc. safety practices
- Communicate with legal counsel and safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA health and safety regulations and other governmental regulations
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and ensuring area housekeeping requirements are met
Finance
- Identifying process improvement, cost savings, and implement changes to achieve them
- Managing and tracking all assigned material, equipment and facility assets
- Meet or exceed operations labor budget expectations
- Responsible for all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment rentals
- Work closely with the inventory supervisors and team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, selecting the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data, and reduce sub-rental expenses
- Establish contracts and ensuring proper maintenance and serving as primary liaison with utilities and local government agencies, such as fire, police, health, and safety agencies
- Review all operational invoices as requested
- Assist with forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; schedule of expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
Training
- Directing, supervising, evaluating, training, and developing employees
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Managing employee interaction that includes: employee development, one on one coaching, walking through area during assigned shift, conflict resolution among associates, associates group meetings and trainings.
Collaboration
- Support internal and external stakeholders including Compliance, Safety, Human Resources, Finance and customers.
- Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
- Identifying and manage labor needs to meet contract labor to revenue costs, interviewing, monitor employee attendance, counsel, coach and administer corrective actions as necessary
- Meets attendance & punctuality standards
- Communicating both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
- Collecting of data and reporting of established KPIs, quality reports, audits, financial reporting, material handling equipment reports, site or individual performance tracking and customer required reports

Preferred Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions
Previous Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 year fast-paced logistics industry or manufacturing environment experience, automotive preferred
- 3 years supervisor experience
- Warehouse/Distribution/Manufacturing/Logistics work experience
- Exposure to Customs Bonded paperwork and processes
Education and Certifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Equivalent work experience will be considered
