We are seeking an Inventory Associate to join our team in Knightdale, NC. In this role you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, conducting audits, and maintaining organized stock records to support the smooth operation of the cabinet manufacturing facility.

The Role:


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Associate to join our team at our cabinet manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and ensuring accurate stock records for all materials used in production. Your efforts will play a key role in maintaining seamless operations and meeting production demands.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Inventory Management:
    • Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of raw materials (wood, hardware, finishing materials, etc.).
    • Unload and check materials for damages or discrepancies, verifying against purchase orders.
    • Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations for easy access.
  • Stock Control:
    • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records using inventory management software or spreadsheets.
    • Perform routine cycle counts and audits to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
    • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory, coordinating with management for disposal or redistribution.
  • Material Replenishment:
    • Ensure production workstations are stocked with the required materials to avoid workflow interruptions.
    • Work with the procurement team to reorder materials based on inventory levels and production forecasts.
    • Communicate shortages or discrepancies to relevant departments to prevent delays in production.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including sales orders, material issuances, and returns.
    • Generate reports to track stock movements, identify trends, and forecast future inventory needs.
    • Provide regular updates to management on inventory status and performance.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect incoming materials for quality compliance and adherence to specifications.
    • Report quality issues or non-compliance to appropriate departments for resolution.
    • Ensure all materials are labeled, organized, and easily retrievable in the warehouse.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow safety protocols and warehouse procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Adhere to regulatory requirements, including proper handling and storage of hazardous materials.



Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and vendors.
  • Physical ability to lift, move heavy items, and stand for extended periods.
