Job Description
Century West Engineering is seeking a Recruiter to join our team. Civil engineering recruiters are crucial in connecting talented professionals with opportunities in the civil engineering industry. The recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract and retain a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for this multi-state company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sourcing candidates through multiple channels, including job boards, professional networks, career fairs, and industry events
- Screening applicants to assess their qualifications, skills, and experience, including technical evaluations
- Conducting initial interviews and evaluating candidates' suitability for specific roles
- Matching candidates with appropriate job opportunities
- Facilitating the hiring process between employers and potential employees
- In-depth knowledge of the civil engineering industry, including current trends and challenges
- Understanding of specific technical skills and qualifications required for different civil engineering roles
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and company policies
- Analyze recruiting data for management and work to improve recruiting processes
- Recruitment using LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, marketing, or equivalent, or 2 years of experience
- At least two (2) years managing all phases of the recruitment preferred
- Proficiency in full-lifecycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates
- Understanding of project management principles in civil engineering contexts
- Problem-solving skills to address recruitment challenges and optimize hiring processes
- Ability to align recruitment strategies with organizational goals and project needs
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with compliance and best practices applicable to talent acquisition
- Proficient using Microsoft365
- ADP Workforce NOW software experience is preferred
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry is preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None. However, the incumbent may direct other employees.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Frequently required to stand and walk
- Continually required to sit and to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
- Continually required to talk or hear
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Some travel may be required (25% or less)
- The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 50 pounds
