The Foster Care Recruiter develop and administer an effective recruitment program for the Foster Care Program to include coordination of recruitment events, while developing community awareness of Foster Care Programs through effective marketing and outreach. Provide Intensive casework with DCF referring children and adolescents ages 0-18 with the goal of long-term stability and permanency.

Helix Human Services provides Comprehensive Foster Care (CFC), a unique program through which foster families provide a home to one or two children and/or adolescents in need of more support.

Qualifications

• Manage tracking system for demographics of referral information for Foster Care Program.
• Be responsible for coordinating and conducting Foster Care Open House or Information Sessions.
• Perform other foster parent recruitment events and assist program staff with retention activities to support and maintain existing foster homes.
• Screen, interview and select potential foster parents to become licensed caregivers.
• Work collaboratively with Family Resource to ensure licensure requirements are met.
• Ensure that all foster care applicants meet the required standards for Massachusetts foster homes.
• Available to assist with occasional evening/weekend recruitment opportunities.
• Other tasks as assigned by CFC supervisor.
• Valid Driver's License.
