Overview:
The Healthcare Recruiter and Workforce Specialist drives internal/external workforce development and recruitment efforts for Lorettos Certified Nurses Aide and Certified Home Health Aide in-house training programs and Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN) apprenticeship and NCLEX preparation programs. The Recruiter will build pipelines for various programs through partnerships with local high schools as well as nursing schools through job fairs and clinical affiliations. Collaborates with the onboarding team guiding new employees through the orientation and onboarding processes and creating an exceptional candidate experience.
Responsibilities:Job duties specific to this position:
- Responsible for driving all activities relating to the recruitment and selection of professional and non-exempt positions for Loretto.
- Maintain consistent and clear communication with business partners, recruiters, and other Learning & Talent Solutions team members to create an exceptional experience for new hires and employees.
- Collaborates with hiring managers and generalists to determine the recruitment needs for each business unit.
- Uses social media and the internet to source candidates. Monitors social media activity, job boards and applicant tracking systems.
- Meets with various educational institutions and organizations to post job openings and develop relationships to foster the referral process for qualified candidates.
- Organize and promote Lorettos apprenticeship & training program opportunities to internal staff throughout the organization.
- Ensures Lorettos Certified Home Health Aide and Certified Nurses Aide training classes are filled in accordance with business needs and collaborates with Lorettos education depts to track progress of trainees.
- Communicates to hiring managers as needed regarding status of news hires and positions. Assists hiring managers with employment ad requests and submits ads for publication.
- Ensures that all certification requirements are finalized and filed in HR systems.
- Screens applications and identifies qualified applicants for each business unit. Conducts initial phone screens and/or interviews and refers qualified candidates to hiring managers for further follow-up.
- Prepares offer letters and collaborates with generalists and associates to ensure the accuracy of offer.
- Advertises on school job boards and actively seeks out job fairs to attend based on opening and business needs. Organizes hiring events and partners with the marketing team to post job marketing materials on job boards throughout the community.
- Organizes and conducts presentations to large groups to educate community partners and applicants on Lorettos career pathway opportunities.
- Maintains confidentiality of employee and candidate information.
- Keeps current on applicable labor and employment laws. Ensures corporate policy/procedure and third-party agency regulations are adhered to. Proposes appropriate revisions to policy.
- Maintains current knowledge of all union contracts.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
- 3-5 years experience in Human Resource discipline, such as benefits, labor relations, etc. preferred.
- Knowledge of current labor and employment laws.
- Experience with one or more internet recruiting sources, applicant tracking systems and HR systems.
- Formal interview training.
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have the ability to interface in a professional manner with all levels of management.
- Proficient in MS Office and able to learn new applications rapidly.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
