MHS is seeking a part-time Admissions Interviewer to conduct interviews with families who’ve applied for their students’ enrollment. This position works up to 29 hours a week, during business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work.
The position compensates between $26.98 and $36.02 per hour.
The Admissions Interviewer is responsible for:
- Conducting a high volume of interviews with adults applying for their students to enroll.
- Under supervision, administering and interpreting assessments (behavioral, social, and emotional).
- Reviewing student application files, gathering additional relevant information, and preparing reports.
- Providing information to families.
- Collaborating extensively within the department to ensure applications are processed efficiently and accurately.
- This is a mandated reporter role.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or social work.
- At least one year completing assessment interviews in a clinical or school setting.
- Demonstrated sound judgement, particularly when interpreting and evaluating complex information.
- Experience working with families from disadvantaged backgrounds desired.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, assessment scoring software, and databases.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Skilled in multi-tasking in a fast-paced and high-volume setting with a high degree of accuracy.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for students.
- Must be willing to actively engage with students and families.
- Bilingual/Spanish fluency a plus.
