George School, a Quaker boarding/day grades 9-12 college preparatory school located in Newtown, Bucks County, PA has an opening for a Custodian.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas including dormitories, classrooms, offices, gymnasiums, swimming pool, locker rooms, restrooms, stairwells, corridors, lounges, apartments and other areas.
• Retrieve cleaning equipment and supplies to complete tasks. Refill spray bottles with cleaning solutions and restock housekeeping closets with other needed supplies. Assist in emergency spills.
• Set up and break down tables, chairs and linen as related to meetings and special event functions.
• Perform functions associated with trash removal and recycling removal. This involves walking up or down stairwells to various buildings.
• Assist in moving furniture.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Must have a valid and current driver’s license.
• Perform duties as assigned.
