Hourly pay rate: $16 per hour
- Position Purpose
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides semi-skilled electrical work in the performance of construction, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, and restoration in relation to electricity; including but not limited to various pieces of electrical equipment, circuits, panels, switches, fans, motors, and fixtures
- Provides semi-skilled work in the performance of preventative maintenance, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, construction, installation and/or restoration in relation to life safety fire alarm systems
- Performs semi-skilled labor in the performance of preventative maintenance, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, construction, and/or restoration in relation to telecommunications, phone, internet, cabling, and distribution lines
- Performs semi-skilled labor in the performance of preventative maintenance, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, construction, and/or restoration in relation to conduit and security lines and devices and equipment
- Performs semi-skilled labor in the performance of preventative maintenance, maintenance, repair, reconfiguration, construction, and/or restoration in relation to overhead and underground utility services
- Troubleshoots electrical systems, circuits, appliances, tools, machinery, PLC's and motor controls with or without electrical prints and/or schematics
- Test and repair various electrical circuits and components (AC/DC drives, motors, and controls) using standard test equipment and observing system operations
- Provide customer service to College departments, staff, students, representatives, and to the public
- Works indoor and outdoor in inclement weather day to day, at special events and at multiple campus locations
- Use technology in the performance daily communication, record keeping, proposals, schedules and asset and inventory tracking
- Work with student employees in the successful daily operations of the institution
- Safely operate college vehicles, diagnostic equipment, machinery and hand and power tools
- Assist with special event arrangements and preparations
- Follow all Hocking College policies and procedures in relation to all duties performed
- Perform and complete other work as assigned
- Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills
- Experience working as an electrician or electrician's assistant
- Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations
- Valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements:
- Lift 50 pounds without assistance
