The Saint Louis Club is THE Private Dining Club located in Clayton. Main Duties:

  • Cocktail Service
  • Table Maintenance
  • Setup and Breakdown side work duties
  • POS Navigation
  • Food Service (Taking orders, serving food, maintaining buffets)

Requirements:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet members. Make all our members feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally and professionally take care of them.
  • Inform members of specials and menu changes.
  • Make recommendations you genuinely feel they-specifically will enjoy.
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other club functions and upcoming events.
  • Take food and beverage orders from members, enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen, including identifying and communicating special requests, also any dietary restrictions
  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to members in a timely matter.
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
  • Maintain clean service areas and adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.
  • Monitor and observe members dining experience. Ensure members are satisfied with the food and service and respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Prepare final bill, present chit to guest, confirm the member number or signature and member charge the bill to the appropriate account.
  • Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise, as well as clearing and resetting tables.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the club as directed by your captain/supervisor.
  • May be asked to work double shifts with breaks (12+ hours per day).


Qualifications & Physical Demands:

  • Be able to communicate in and understand a variety of social situations and interact accordingly with our membership.
  • Must have a passion for great hospitality and have solid knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
  • Be dedicated to working as a team in all aspects of our daily duties with a team player mentality.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Be able to safely lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver trays of food & furniture weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to see, hear, feel and talk.
  • Must be required to regularly use hands to handle, grasp, feel, and reach frequently throughout the work day.
