RPh on the go is seeking a Retail Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment in Goldendale, WA.
Pharmacist Full-Time (Rotating Weekends)

Schedule: Full-time (3540 hours per week)
Pharmacy Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM 6:00 PM; Saturday, 10:00 AM 2:00 PM; Closed on Sunday
Shift: 10-hour shifts, rotating weekends
We are seeking a dedicated, customer-focused Pharmacist to join our team. This full-time role involves dispensing medications, conducting health assessments, administering vaccines, and providing essential pharmaceutical services to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail pharmacy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a variety of patient care needs, from medication guidance to point-of-care testing.
Key Responsibilities:- Medication Dispensing & Patient Care: Accurately dispense prescribed medications and offer expert advice on their use, potential side effects, and administration. Provide personalized counseling to patients regarding proper medication usage.
- Vaccination Services: Conduct vaccine assessments, administer vaccines (flu, COVID-19, etc.), and ensure appropriate patient documentation and follow-up.
- Point-of-Care Testing: Perform point-of-care testing for conditions like Strep, flu, and COVID-19, and prescribe treatments as necessary, in accordance with relevant protocols.
- Opiate Use Review: Monitor and review opiate use, ensuring that patients are following safe and appropriate use of medications.
- Medication Orders: Process and fulfill medication orders received from licensed pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Customer Service: Address inquiries regarding drug dosages, side effects, and administration, and provide clear, professional responses to patient concerns.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Active Washington State Pharmacist License: Must hold and maintain a current, valid pharmacist license in Washington state.
- Retail Pharmacy Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting, with strong knowledge of medication dispensing, patient counseling, and pharmacy operations.
- Vaccination & Point-of-Care Testing Experience: Experience with vaccine administration and point-of-care testing (e.g., for flu, strep, or COVID-19) is preferred, or willingness to train.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of prescriptions, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
- Patient-Centered Care: A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care, focusing on positive outcomes and improving patient health.
- Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating with a healthcare team to deliver optimal patient care.
