Job Description This position will assist the Analytics and Automation Associate Director within the AbbVie Internal Audit (IA) function in supporting the execution of an effective data analytics program. The Automation and Data Insights Analyst will assist in performing data analytics initiatives by proactively providing new ideas, automating existing or new processes, documenting and using advanced data analytics techniques that require solid mathematical understanding and abstraction capabilities. This position will be partnering with the Finance, Compliance and BTS audit teams and activities. Responsibilities Responsible for analyzing, validating, implementing, automating, reporting, and managing data used during audit throughout the year. Applying analytical thinking skills to diagnose and proactively make recommendations on systems. Strong analytical thinking, able to perform the tasks with an intermediate degree of independence, demonstrating the ability to think abstractly and implement the necessary steps to complete projects with the support of their manager, but without requiring step-by-step guidance. Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills. Automate Data Analytics processes using technical skills such as Python, SQL, DAX, Power Automate and Dataiku. Support new system implementations; proactively propose and drive continuous improvements ideas. Compiles and analyzes information to assist audit planning and fieldwork sampling of transactions performed by the audit team. Be curious and provide new ideas, innovative solutions, and potential improvements. Maintain constant and open communication with all the teams involved. Proactively applies analytical thinking skills to diagnose and make recommendations on systems. Identify functional opportunities within Finance, Compliance and BTS audit functions. Accountable for accuracy and quality of data analytics within the audit team. Assure that the day-to-day operations and tasks are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ability to perform the tasks with an intermediate degree of independence, demonstrating the ability to think abstractly and implement the necessary steps to complete projects with the support of their manager, but without requiring step-by-step guidance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Physics or related field is required. Experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, Automation and/or Statistics. Experience in SQL, Python, Excel, Power Automate, PowerBI and SAP. Strong analytical thinking and curiosity. Research skills and the ability to apply analytical thinking to effectively solve problems. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet timelines in a proactive manner. Well-developed communication skills to be able to professionally and comfortably present and explain the work done and the value added, in front of the department and/or Director or Senior leadership. Organized, methodical, attention to detail and with a solid sense of urgency and agility. Previous experience in Big 4 is a plus. Project Management experience a plus. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
