What You Will Be Doing
The Automation Analyst is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated solutions to improve legal workflows. This role requires legal knowledge, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to drive innovation and efficiency. The Automation Analyst will collaborate with practice and business stakeholders to drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the firm. This role also involves continuous monitoring and improvement of automated systems. By staying at the forefront of legal technology trends, this role will spearhead innovative projects that significantly improve legal operations and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
About The Role
- Work as part of Practice and Business Automation team to proactively identify and develop process improvement opportunities aimed at enabling the business to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology.
- Review, analyze, and model business processes and information flows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Propose solutions (including automation); identifying alignment with business requirements; making recommendations.
- Document process change requirements using the agreed standards, methods, and tools ensuring consistent high-quality output.
- Design and implement automated solutions using legal technology tools such as document automation software, contract management systems, and workflow automation platforms.
- Define, develop, and deliver processes and systems to ensure that service levels are consistently in alignment with customer experience expectations.
- Effectively communicate with key stakeholders at all levels and in all departments in order to ensure their engagement and support of business improvement activities.
- Integrate automation solutions with existing software systems and databases.
- Provide technical oversight and review of work from team.
- Work with team to transform business requirements into automated solutions.
- Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of new applications and automations, as well as the enhancement and maintenance of existing ones.
- Displays professionalism, quality service and a positive "can do" attitude to internal members/departments of the Firm.
- Facilities cross-functional collaboration to ensure that automation initiatives are aligned with broader firm goals.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
What You Will Bring/Your Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft O365 applications.
- Strong technical background with a focus on workflow automation and process improvement.
- Experience in process automation, scripting, and workflow design, and automation tools (Power Automate, PowerApps, SharePoint, PowerBI, ServiceNow) preferred.
- Desire to learn new techniques and skills.
- Strong analysis, planning, organizing and time management skills.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work under deadlines.
- Interest in and ability to acquire new skills and tackle challenging projects.
- Ability to work effectively with both users and technical staff in team-oriented environments.
Required Experience
- 3-5 years' application design, development, and support experience. Workflow and process improvement methodology and technology solution experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
- Law firm experience is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
