Role: Business Analyst – Business oriented
• Elicit business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques including but not limited to conducting user story development sessions, interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process, task and workflow analysis
• Analyst must act in a neutral, fact-based fashion while driving the successful definition of user stories, acceptance criteria, as-is and to-be process flows and/or user journey maps
• Partners with Product owner to drive requirements definition, including close collaboration with Systems Analyst to jointly define business and associated requirements. For clarity, this role is business focused. Systems Analyst will define technical requirements (aka functional specs)
• Manage daily activities, working sessions, issue resolution, and communication across project and support teams to ensure requirements are clear and not a roadblock to project delivery
• Analyze and evaluate data gathered from multiple sources and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs
• Collaborate with business process owners to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service and business processes
• Create As-Is and To-Be workflow charts and diagrams, process models and data models to help engage stakeholders and drive for results on requirements gathering and gap analysis
