We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the logistics industry, located in Collierville, Tennessee. As a Financial Analyst, your key role will be to perform a variety of tasks related to financial analysis, payroll auditing, and compliance monitoring.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct rigorous financial analysis to provide meaningful insights
• Use SQL and multiple databases to analyze and interpret data
• Employ PeopleSoft to manage and monitor various controls within payroll
• Ensure SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance in all financial operations
• Conduct operational audits to identify and rectify payroll discrepancies
• Oversee payroll processing for over 500 employees to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Monitor 32 different controls within payroll to ensure optimal operations
• Collaborate with a small team to enhance payroll efficiency and effectiveness
• Solve customer queries and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Update and maintain accurate customer credit records.• Proven experience in the Logistics industry
• Solid understanding and practical experience with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
• Proficient in SQL and able to manipulate large data sets
• Experience with PeopleSoft financial software is required
• Prior experience with Audit - Operational, preferably within a logistics setting
• Experience managing Payroll for over 500 employees
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Proficient in working with multiple databases
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.
