Company Overview:

This role will focus on supporting construction project teams by identifying safety risks, analyzing data, and assisting in the development of solutions to mitigate those risks. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to construction safety, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of construction project sites to identify and analyze potential safety risks.
  • Develop and implement safety inspection policies, procedures, and routine inspection schedules.
  • Assist in creating and delivering training programs on emergency procedures, workplace safety, and construction-specific safety topics.
  • Analyze compliance with safety protocols, documenting findings, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Support safety initiatives by conducting audits, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and contributing to safety program development.
  • Prepare detailed inspection and incident investigation reports.
  • Ensure safety materials, equipment, and resources are readily available and properly maintained.
  • Collaborate with project leadership to design and implement safety measures specific to construction environments.
  • Perform on-the-job training for construction associates.
  • Investigate safety incidents to identify root causes and preventive actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in construction safety, with a proven track record in analyzing and mitigating safety risks on construction sites.
  • Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Professional, and safety management software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships in a construction project team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written technical reports and correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician), or similar are highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to conduct site inspections and carry safety equipment as needed.
  • Prolonged periods of working at a computer and sitting at a desk.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
