The Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that Champions Funding adheres to all applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and business rules within the Non-QM (Non-Qualified Mortgage) space. This role involves reviewing business rules, performing document testing, and conducting research to answer general business compliance and system-related questions. The Compliance Analyst will work closely with internal teams to provide support, help troubleshoot compliance issues, and ensure the company’s operations align with industry standards and regulatory expectations.


Key Responsibilities
• Review, analyze, and test business rules and loan documents to ensure they comply with internal guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Conduct research to address business and system compliance questions, providing clear, actionable guidance to internal teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to troubleshoot and resolve compliance-related system issues.
• Assist with the development and ongoing refinement of compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Provide compliance support for internal audits, ensuring accurate and timely responses to regulatory requests.
• Monitor regulatory changes in the Non-QM lending space and assist in implementing updates to policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of compliance reports, ensuring the accuracy of compliance documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related matters, promoting best practices across business operations.
• Help identify potential compliance risks and work with the compliance team to mitigate them effectively.

Requirements:


• 2-3 years of experience in a compliance, risk management, or similar role within the mortgage or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of Non-QM lending products, business rules, and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience with business rule testing and document compliance review in a regulated environment.
• Excellent research and analytical skills with the ability to provide well-informed compliance guidance.
• Familiarity with compliance management systems or mortgage loan origination software.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate complex compliance matters for various stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive in addressing compliance issues.
