The Financial Analyst will participate in a wide variety of accounting functions to include general ledger, cost accounting, budget/forecasting, reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates accounting functions with team members and ensures sound accounting practices are followed.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual margin/variance reporting by product, customer and warehouse.
- Coordinates with operations to ensure accuracy of overall Physical Inventory and related audits.
- Maintains and reconciles Fixed Assets schedules.
- Analyze product design, raw materials and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost for both new product quotes and existing product engineering changes.
- Variance analysis and review of cost allocation assumptions and rates.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the monthly close, including the preparation of monthly journal entries.
- Assist in assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
- Analyze historical and current financial data to understand the company’s financial status.
- Prepares financial analyses and reports as requested.
- Maintains and reconciles balance sheet and other general ledger accounts as requested.
- Assists with annual audit preparations and reporting.
- Investigates and resolves audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Performs other accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- 2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
- Strong financial analysis skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and stress management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Proficiency in Infor Syteline a plus.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Ability to achieve results; Problem-solving skills; Commitment to quality
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: verbal and written
