Financial Analyst
Hertha Metals is scaling up its revolutionary steel making technology. We are looking for a Financial Analyst t to help drive growth at our clean technology company. You must enjoy working in a fast-paced startup environment where creativity, speed, initiative and cross-functional teamwork are required to succeed.
Your responsibilities
Develop techno-economic analysis models for Hertha's demonstration and commercial plants
Develop revenue projection models to help guide corporate direction and product development
Lead search for non-dilutive funding, debt financing, strategic funding avenues
Identify, negotiate alongside the CEO, and manage strategic partnerships with suppliers, distributors, and other industry players to enhance the company’s market position
Use insights to pivot or refine the company’s roadmap in response to changing market demands
Develop plant operating budgets through coordination with operations and engineering teams
Take ownership of designing the capital stack for financing Hertha's pilot plants, requiring an understanding of project finance
Your experience
Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Marketing, Economics or Engineering with finance background)
Minimum of 6 years in a finance or techno-economic modeling role, with preferably at least two years of experience at a start-up or within a VC/VC-funded company.
Preferable experience in finding and validating funding opportunities
Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
Strong team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Good communicator.
Location: Our facility is located in Conroe, Texas just outside of Houston. While we prefer candidates who can primarily work on-site to foster collaboration and team cohesion, we do offer flexibility for partial remote work for this position.
