Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift/Warehouse Associate to join our team. The Forklift/Warehouse Associate will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move and organize products within the warehouse, as well as perform various warehouse duties. This position requires a strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift to move, stack, load, or unload products in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspect forklifts before each use to ensure they are in proper working condition.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring that products are properly secured.
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick and prepare products for shipment according to customer orders.
  • Perform inventory counts as needed and assist in cycle counting activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring that products are stored in designated areas.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (adding, subtracting, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness within the warehouse.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food production or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proven experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Proven experience operating a forklift.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 55 lbs.
  • Valid forklift certification and previous experience operating a forklift.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a warehouse setting.
  • Capability to perform in both hot and cold plant environments.
