GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Material Handler I is responsible for providing support to the Warehouse Department, to perform manual duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies using a Stand Up Forklift. Temp to Hire Position.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring that materials and/or products are clearly marked and labeled for tracking and identification. Ensuring products are safely stored in the warehouse manually and with forklift.
Receive, count and ensure integrity of Raw materials, packaging components and supplies.
Warehouse receiving.
Segregation of allergen materials.
Returning materials back to their proper location manually, with pallet jack and Stand Up forklift.
Delivering packages manually, with pallet jack or with forklift to appropriate areas/departments.
Vehicle inspection checklist.
Ensuring Shipping/Receiving and return to stock log books are current.
Responding in a timely manner to requests by other departments.
Following established department SOP’s and cGMP regulations.
Complying with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
Perform bin transfers and allocation.
Follow RTS’s procedures and protocols.
Verify all necessary documents are submitted to the Receiving Clerk.
Other duties, assignments and tasks as assigned by VP or senior management
QUALIFICATIONS
MUST HAVE AN OSHA CERTIFICATION TO OPERATE THE STAND UP FORKLIFT
Proficient use of the English language (verbal and written).
Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to present information in one-on-one situations with customers, delivery Companies and other employees of the organization.
Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
Ability to safely operate a Standup forklift and pallet jack
Ability to shrink wrap pallets.
Ability to walk through or use a forklift in the warehouse to locate material and/or products.
Ability to perform the physical duties of the job (loading and unloading company vehicles manually or with a forklift).
Proficient math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measures using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals).
Ability to fast pace demanding work environments.
Willing to work overtime and/or during weekends; if needed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
The essential functions of this job require the employee to perform the following physical activities during the course of work: Required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time during the course of work shift. Routinely required to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, push, pull and reach in the performance of their job. Requires the essential use of hands, speech, eyesight, and hearing. Routinely required to climb stairs to access material. Lifting limitations for this position: 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus as needed. Noise level for this work environment is typically moderate
